On the occasion of the International Day of Charitable Work, the Arab Center for the Sustainability of Civil Work confirms that charitable work is no longer just an immediate response to needs, but rather has become an integral part of the development system, and an important tool for enhancing human dignity and building societies more capable of facing crises and achieving sustainability.
These axes gain their importance from the fact that the power of charitable work is not measured only by the amount of aid provided, but rather by its ability to bring about real and sustainable change in people’s lives, and move from addressing the results to dealing with the causes of problems, and from providing service to empowering people and society.
The charitable work we need today is work that preserves human dignity, invests in their capabilities, enhances their rights, and creates an impact that remains after the end of intervention.
